Sam is a Partner in the Retained Search practice at Riviera, working with public and venture-backed portfolio companies to build top-tier executive and management teams. Prior to joining Riviera Partners, Sam was a senior leader of Frank, Rimerman + Co. LLP, a Bay Area-based accounting and advisory firm.

Previously, Sam had been a Managing Director with Caturano and Company (now McGladrey) in Boston, where he established the strategy for the Consulting and Advisory Services practice. He developed international business, provided brand advocacy, and promoted collaboration for the North American region of Baker Tilly International. Sam was also a member of the internal consulting and risk management group of Fidelity Investments, and he held senior software development and consulting positions with Arrayworks Software, and with Computer Sciences Corp (CSC) Consulting, where he provided technical advisory and merger integration services to Fortune 500 companies.

Sam is a graduate of Boston College where he earned a B.S. in Computer Science, and an M.B.A. in Strategic Management and Informatics. He also holds an Executive M.B.A. in Leadership from Harvard Business School.

Sam enjoys outdoor activities with his wife and two daughters, exercise, music, sports, travel, and reading.
