After working for a number of tech start ups, Sara found her way to the real estate industry. She is the former National Director for Interactive Marketing for Coldwell Banker Canada. She was responsible for an extensive training program traveling to offices across the country training agents and brokers about online marketing and the client centered services offered by Coldwell Banker Canada. In 2005 she decided to put her teaching into practice, and joined a brokerage in Edmonton, Alberta.

In 2012, Sara and her partner Sheldon Johnston decided the franchised brand they were with was no longer a good fit. So, they repositioned the firm, developed its brand strategy, and created its new identity: Liv Real Estate.

Liv offers a fresh perspective to real estate with a new outlook on dotted lines and traditional relationships between agents and homeowners.
The boutique brokerage has a dominant online presence in Edmonton; their web site gets over 250,000 user sessions and 3.3 million page views a month, generating enough leads to support 20 very successful agents. In 2014, the brokerage generated over $220 million in sales, 60% of which came from their web site.
